More than two years after the last update, this page was hopelessly outdated by early 2000 (the latest update prior to January 2000 had been made on November 1997). It has therefore been completely redesigned and now will give you a fairly complete idea of what is available on "Italy's Volcanoes: The Cradle of Volcanology". Some pages (assembled under the header "Beyond Italy's volcanoes") have not been updated since early 1996, and it is very unlikely that I will ever find the time to work on them again or create other, similar pages. The only pages in that group that will be periodically updated are the "Latest News" page which will report significant events at volcanoes in the world, and the pages with links leading to other volcano-related web sites.
